Who ships your order
AmmoBase is a marketplace. Orders are fulfilled and shipped directly by our manufacturer partners. This lets products ship from the closest available inventory and keeps costs down.

Processing time
Most orders are processed and handed to the carrier within 3–5 business days. High-demand items or large case quantities may require extra time. You’ll receive tracking as soon as a label is created.

Carriers & service levels
Ammunition ships ground service only per carrier and hazmat rules (no air or overnight options). Our partners primarily use UPS Ground (some may use equivalent ground services).

Estimated transit times (contiguous U.S.)
Transit time starts after the package is picked up by the carrier and varies by the shipping origin. As a general guide:

• Mountain West origins: nearby states often arrive in ~1–2 business days

• West & Mountain time zones: typically ~2–3 business days

• Central & Midwest: typically ~3–4 business days

• East Coast: typically ~4–5 business days

Note: Weather, carrier volume, and remote destinations can extend delivery windows.

Where we ship
We currently ship to the contiguous 48 states and comply with all applicable state and local laws. Certain locations may have additional restrictions or documentation requirements.

FFL / alternate shipping addresses
If your order needs to ship to an FFL dealer or another approved address, you can enter that location at checkout under Shipping Address (separate from your billing address). If documentation (e.g., FFL license or ID) is required, we’ll request it during checkout or via email and provide instructions for secure upload.

Age & compliance
By purchasing ammunition, you certify you are 21+ (or the applicable legal age in your jurisdiction) and not prohibited from possessing ammunition. All orders are subject to verification and compliance review. We reserve the right to cancel orders that do not meet legal or policy requirements.

Tracking & delivery
A tracking link will be emailed once your package is in the carrier’s system. Please allow up to 24 hours for scans to appear. Adult signature may be required at our discretion or where required by law.

Expedited shipping
Expedited and air services are not available for ammunition shipments due to carrier and hazmat restrictions.

Address accuracy
Please double-check your shipping address at checkout. We are not responsible for delays or fees resulting from incomplete or incorrect addresses.

Lost/damaged in transit
If your package appears lost or arrives damaged, contact us within 5 business days of the delivery scan or expected delivery date with photos and your order number so we can help file a carrier claim.

The following additional restrictions apply:

NO Ammunition Sales to any Federal Facilities

AK: No ammunition shipments.

CA: All orders must ship to an FFL. Please email a copy of the FFL to support@ammobase.com BEFORE ordering.

CT: Buyers of ammunition must provide ONE of the following:

(1) A permit to carry a pistol or revolver.
(2) A permit to sell at retail a pistol or revolver.
(3) An eligibility certificate for a pistol or revolver.
(4) A long gun eligibility certificate.
(5) An ammunition certificate and motor vehicle operator’s license, passport, or other valid forms of identification issued by the federal government or a state or municipal government that contains such person’s date of birth and photograph.
(6) Law Enforcement ID (Local, State, Federal)
(7) Military ID

DC: No ammunition shipments.

HI: No ammunition shipments.

IL: Buyers of ammunition need to provide ONE of the following:

(1) FOID and IL driver’s license/ID
(2) Concealed carry license and IL driver’s license/ID
(3) Law Enforcement purchase order (Local, State, Federal)
(4) Military purchase order

NO AMMUNITION SALES ARE PERMITTED TO CHICAGO

MA: No ammunition shipments.

NJ: Buyers of ammunition need to provide ONE of the following:

(1) NJ firearm purchaser ID
(2) Handgun purchase permit
(3) Handgun carry permit
(4) Law Enforcement ID (Local, State, Federal)
(5) Military ID

The document must be emailed to support@ammobase.com BEFORE ordering.

NY: No ammunition shipments to the five boroughs of New York City (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island). All other orders must ship to an FFL. Please email a copy of the FFL to support@ammobase.com BEFORE ordering.

I understand that if I attempt to have restricted products shipped to these areas, my order will be canceled.

If you live in one of these states, please check your Local laws and regulations. To be able to order in some of these states we must deliver to your local gun stores. Please contact your local gun store and ask if they can receive ammo. If so email us a copy of their FFL, then when ordering use their address for shipping. We will verify all orders in restricted states.
